This depends upon what you want. Your home theater equipment can be as simple or complex as you desire. It also depends on what you can afford. As the technology advanced, so did the price of home theater equipment. As the technology becomes more commonplace, no doubt prices will start to decline. But for now, prepare to spend a bundle if you want high quality home theatre equipment.
